Here is my first contribution to Ailsa’s Travel Theme. This weeks theme is transportation and my two favourite modes of transportation are by bike and by train.
This is Conwy Castle in North Wales, on a steam train trip to Anglesey.
I took this photo whilst on holiday in the south of England
And this is my bike, (the left one), on a train

Hi – hope you knew about the very tight clearance on the left wall as you go past Conwy Castle in the Anglesey direction. A guy with head out window and videoing turned round to pan back…… and almost literally lost his head. It collided with said wall, blood was sprayed all over the outside of the carriage and needless to say it was fatal….. and not a lot of people even know about that dangerous spot……. Stay safe!!
I didn’t know about it, but I went on the trip with my Dad, and he still tells me to be careful when I stick my head out the window. I certainly didn’t know about the incident you describe. Sounds awful. It’s worth me remembering – thank you
I love the train with the castle in the background, that is very cool! If the fence and a few other bits were removed it could make a nice painting perhaps.
Thanks very much! I suppose it would look good as a painting if a few changes were made. I felt this was the best photo I got though, out of the whole bunch I took.
Hi! I have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award.
Check it out here: http://klling.wordpress.com/2012/12/22/the-versatile-blogger-award/
Have a fantastic weekend!
Kim
Thanks loads Kim! I’d like to accept, but how do i create links to other peoples blogs? I did it once by copying someone else’s link from the Reader page, but is there another way?
You highlight what you want to link and then “insert/edit link” on the tools bar and type or paste the link on the new window. Not exactly sure if thats what you want to know…If you want more help, you can email me at kim.tranquildreams@gmail.com.
Thanks. I’ll give it a try
A train, a bike and a bike on a train – got it covered. I had hoped to take one of these steam train trips when visiting Pemrobkeshire in south Wales but time limitations kiboshed it.
I think it’s well worth it if you ever get another opportunity
